July 1  Saw “Napoli, Brooklyn” by Meghan Kennedy at the Laura Pels Theatre. It is based upon a real-life disaster, the surprise staging of which, is mind shattering! However, the story line has a surfeit of themes added; religious brain-washing, the effect of a bullying husband and father and lesbian freedom. None of these is fully convincing in spite of the excellent acting of the cast.

Huntsville, Ontario

On our way up to Cochrane we stopped overnight at Huntsville, one of the many charming small towns of southern Ontario. This one is in the Muskoka Brewery area–an added charm.CH1

  1. Hey I live in Huntsville Ontario I have a blog that I add pictures and news to from the area. Check it out, I posted some nice fall colours recently

  2. Jeremy. Thank you. Where is Bala in relation to Huntsville? And, do cranberries grow in your area?

  3. haha well yeah I guess. I’m a bit new in Huntsville but I’m pretty sure Bala is about 45 minutes away. I am guessing cranberries do grow there because they have the cranberry festival every year. I did not get to go though because I just bought a house and I was moving in.
