July 1  Saw “Napoli, Brooklyn” by Meghan Kennedy at the Laura Pels Theatre. It is based upon a real-life disaster, the surprise staging of which, is mind shattering! However, the story line has a surfeit of themes added; religious brain-washing, the effect of a bullying husband and father and lesbian freedom. None of these is fully convincing in spite of the excellent acting of the cast.

  1. well done ben. trust you both enjoyed the trip, love pnd

  2. D & P. We love the ship. This was our third voyage on the QM2, and since it travels out of New York within a short taxi ride of our apartments, we will probably be taking many future trips on her.

  3. Please note E-mail address change. Wonderful trip. Claire and I have thought of a Christmas cruise, but haven’t taken one yet. Your pictures and story of the voyage make it very tempting. Lucky you to have missed the big blizzard. Still lots of snow on the streets of our little town and some due tomorrow. Happy New Year to you both. John and Claire

    • John. E-mail change duly noted. Your comment is posted on last year’s cruise–I have just posted this year’s report. Happy New Year to you both. Ben and Ethel
