    Feb 3 - Feb 13 Caribbean cruise
  • theatre and Concerrts

November 30. Susan, Christine and I saw two of three new Italian plays at the Cherry Lane theatre. I actually thought I had booked the third offer which was a Pirandello revival but we were all glad that we did not miss “The Journey I Never made” and “Story of Love and Soccer”. Both excellently translated and powerfully acted. The first is a thought provoking and somewhat unsettling portrayal of the current social turmoil and the second is modern thriller about corrupt sport and the triumph of evil over good. We were able to chat with one of the actors about the plays after the show. Before the show we ate lobster and oysters at theĀ  “Fish” restaurant which was only two blocks from the theatre!

    • Thanks, Sandy. My travel set is at the ready! We can’t wait until we see you again in the old familiar QM2 places. Ben and Ethel

  2. Thanks for sharing this beautiful painting Ben. Love to you and Ethel.

    • Valerie. So glad you like it. I thought the sketch had turned out better than my usual stuff, especially the rendering of the marble pieces. So, particularly happy to have your approval. Love, Ben and Ethel

  3. This is exquisite, Ben! Sending you and Ethel much love this Thanksgiving Day.

  4. Dear Ben
Lovely to see and talk to you on Skype the other day. You do look good. We are also impressed with your painting. As promised I will send you samples of Don’s efforts. For now we wish you and Ethel a wonderful trip, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
    Here’s to Berlin next year!!!
Lots of love to you both from
    Don & Inge

    • Inge. Can’t wait to see what Don is doing these days. Or, to see you both in Berlin next year. All the very best for 2012. Love, Ben and Ethel
